I was excited to find this resource, particularly as it includes neighboring states, so even if nothing is coming out of the ground in our immediate area, we don't necessary have to eat something that traveled a thousand miles to get to the grocery store.

I'm also on the east coast, and am really looking forward to spring.  It seems like forever since I was able to get some local, fresh fruit and vegetables.



Not to mention with the recent push for 'going green', getting local stuff is much more favorable than shipping it in.
